Hello!
I have used freebsd 4.3 release to share my ip address over the lan
at home. It has worked well with no problems at all with windows 95 on
the other machine and Ericsson modem on this machine.
My Ericsson modem is broken (hardware problem) and I got an
Sportster 33.6 Voice modem for free. It works well
with "ppp -nat" on freebsd 4.3 but as soon as I try to access
internet with windows 95 from lan, my freebsd 4.3 gets
stucked. Keyboard and mouse do not work at all ..
Some packets from internet go through to the other machine in the
beginning of the request (dns http ping) so the ipforwarding works
about one minute but after that freebsd 4.3 freezes and nothing
goes through??
I have tried to change the MTU in windows 95's registry to 1492
(I don't remember the exact value) but it didn't help at all.
(As I mentioned the ipforwarding DID WORK BEFORE with this software.)
My configuration:
FreeBSD 4.3-RELEASE
net.inet.ip.forwarding: 1
#ipfw list
