The "if a.out make link" stuff was Please define "latest cruft" :-) If by that you mean the x11/XFree86 port then we're in biiiiiiiig trouble until this gets handed back more officially to the XFree86 Project since I and 99% of the rest of the FreeBSD world will be installing X from the FreeBSD-3.0 binary distribution under pub/XFree86 on ftp.cdrom.com, not from the ports collection. - Jordan
