Fixed in HEAD.

This is a long standing crash in tcsh, but I've committed the fix to
svn:base/head/ and will merge it to stable branches in a couple of days.

Note that the xgetpass() code is *still* broken.  It fails to
authenticate correctly even if you give the correct password.  At least
it doesn't crash now :)
