I apologize for my rant. Not enough of something today I guess.

There's probably a way of telling Norton to see the new version as
"normal", but seriously, I'd call or write Symantec about it. They've had
plenty of years to fix this and they need to hear about their
red-hot-poker-annoying problem from customers.
