The info about pkg's installed are recorded in the /var/db/pkg/<the-package>

There are description files, contents files.. etc... open the contents
file... there you aill find where "oh where" THIS package WAS actualy
installed.. :-)

normaly they are in the */local/* tree (i.e.  /usr/local etc., not mandatory
though)

predefined as far as I know - it will install all that is possible and will
warn you that "dependence" package is missing or not installed etc.
