Scott" To: Message-ID: Mime-version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-current@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG XFree86 exits on signal 11 immediately after starting on FreeBSD 4.6 and 4.7. It is not possible to run the graphical configuration utility at all. After running curses configuration utility, running startx produces signal 11. No other debugging information is available. No other messages from the server. Note that X runs fine on FreeBSD 4.5 and earlier, using the exact same machine and configuration. When XFree86 moved to a combined server (beginning in FreeBSD 4.6), something broke. Earlier versions (on FreeBSD 4.5 and earlier) using individual X server modules worked fine. Can anyone help me debug and resolve this problem? I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. Thanks, Paul A.
