Actually, /etc/make.conf should be the same on both systems.  If one has
options (e.g. NOPERL) that the other doesn't, installworld will fail in
interesting ways.  And make sure the clocks are synced reasonably closely
(although for a CD-ROM transfer, they probably don't have to be all that
close!)
