Sender: owner-freebsd-ports@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org I compiled samba 2.02 from the 3.1 ports yesterday on a 3.1R (elf) machine but somehow I had trouble with smbpasswd. Got me the des stuff from ftp.internat.freebsd.org and wanted to start over building samba but had OBJFORMAT set to elf rather than unset. This setting of OBJFORMAT seems to influence 'configure' -- see below: (unsetting OBJFORMAT lets the configure script run OK) checking for two-argument statfs with statfs.bsize member (AIX, 4.3BSD)... no checking for four-argument statfs (AIX-3.2.5, SVR3)... no checking for two-argument statfs with statfs.fsize member (4.4BSD and NetBSD)... no checking for two-argument statfs with struct fs_data (Ultrix)... no checking if large file support can be enabled no checking configure summary ERROR: No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe configure: error: summary failure. Aborting config *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 -- Chris Christoph P. U.
