Hmm, I must admit I didn't think of that.  Since I am not an Xfce user, I
better leave this issue to discretion of interested parties; treat my lame
question just an $.02 opinion of general nature, rather than call for any
specific action.

P.S.  It seems your mailer mangles emails in this way, e.g.:

	M-^Z M-^Z x11-wm/xfce M-^Z M-^Z M-^Z M-^Z M-^Z

... unless something's wrong with my setup.
