Hello,
It's strange. Small mail can be sent normally but a little large mail (
larger than about 600 bytes ) causes an error.
When sending a mail from win95 via Freebsd 2.2.7 (Nat box) using
smtp(yml01.xx.yyy.co.jp), I/O error occurs.
Another case is that I'm not sure why but 2nd MX (yns02.xx.yyy.co.jp) was
uses and caused time out. ( It might be caused by EOM error, describing in
3rd log )
<==192.168.163.109
aaa.bbb.153.100==>
hsi01.xx.yyy.co.jp
win95-------+----FreeBsd 2.2.7-----+----win95(3) aaa.bbb.145.110
| Nat IP Masq. | yml01.xx.yyy.co.jp
win95(2)----+ +----router--+--smtp
|
|
+---smtp(2nd)
| aaa.bbb.145.100
| yns02.xx.yyy.co.jp
|
+---router------->internet
There is no problem from win95(3).
win95 and win95(2) can use pop, www, ftp normally.
win95 causes an error when setting yml01 as smtp.
In test case, using hsi01 as smtp, there is the same problem. Here is a log.
1. sendmail[965]: KAA00963: to=,delay=00:08:51,xdelay=00:08:48,mailer=esmtp,
relay=yml01.xx.yyy.co.jp. [aaa.bbb.145.110], stat=I/O error: Undefined
error: 0 Dec 3 10:22:42 hsi01
2. sendmail[973]: KAA00971: to=,delay=00:17:36,xdelay=00:17:35,mailer=esmtp,
relay=yns02.xx.yyy.co.jp. [aaa.bbb.145.100], stat=Deferred:Operation
timed out with
yns02.xx.yyy.co.jp. Dec 3 10:32:48 hsi01
3. sendmail[22638]: collect: premature EOM: Connection reset by
hsi01.xx.yyy.co.jp
I suppose smtp (yml01) could receive only one packet from win95(masqueraded
as hsi01), but got something wrong for handshake for next packet.
Does anyone help me ????
Tomoo
