Combined with qmail-scanner and a patch to reject unknown users, you've got a great email solution. I've used postfix in the past, and was quite pleased with it, but found that Qmail was a better solution for me (though I intend to check back into Postix again some day). I've heard great things about Exim, but have no personal experience with it. As I understand it, it's speed and security are on par with Qmail and Postfix, and it's feature set just might blow both of them away (think embedded perl). -- Troy Settle Pulaski Networks http://www.psknet.com 540.994.4254 ~ 866.477.5638 Pulaski Chamber 2002 Small Business Of The Year > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG > [mailto:owner-freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG] On Behalf Of Leonard Jacobs > Sent: Wednesday, December 11, 2002 10:07 PM > To: freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG > Subject: the mail server debate > > > Are there any benchmarks comparing the various MTAs on FreeBSD?
