Of course, now that some html artists are assuming that everyone has a cablemodem or faster (I love showing people how their beautiful pages display on a 28.8 modem or on something smaller than a 17" monitor), I'm finding pages that aren't usable without displaying graphics. (The first thing they usually tell me every time I show them how slow it is over a 28.8 is, "once it's cached, it will refresh much faster", to which I point out that if a page takes over a minute to load, I'm going to leave and not come back, so reload time is irrelevant).
