If you use just the build world parts of the upgrade, I guess you can
set DESTDIR before doing the two installworlds. This should give you
a tree to chroot to. I haven't tried this. The main makefile probably
needs additional upgrade target/s otherwise you need to

make -f Makefile.upgrade <target>
