On this mine is connected in the path between the CDROM and the CDinput on the soundcard. when the video is off i get the CD, when on i get the tv audio (there's a switch on the Bt848 i think). The audio card might see this connection as LINE, CD, AUX ... it all depends on how the driver's knowledge matches the features of the audio card.
