No, if you create a raid array with the controllers BIOS FreeBSD doesn't ca= re=20 about. Also of you Shutdown the machine, power on the machine, modify files= ,=20 power down, reconnect the drive and power up again FreeBSD (and the=20 controller) don't recognice the broken mirror and FreeBSD ist panicing! Regardless wether it's the vendors fault or the ataraid fault, it doesn't w= ork=20 so this should be mentioned! > > HS> Or fix it. At least there should be a note in UPDATING. But cheap they aren't. I know and I have one running here, but that's not a reason to list=20 controllers as working when they are not. Not to mention the completely broken ataraid in -current. =2DHarry > > > Regards, > Gabriel > > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-current@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-current > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-current-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" --Boundary-02=_1Ws8ALcTgyo3ORB Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Description: signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBA8sW1Bylq0S4AzzwRAoQSAJ0Zu8jxZKDbUY80ZQhiRwRgdburxACcDIS4 LOKd1IrzGjgOyktW7auCBiQ= =pmlM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Boundary-02=_1Ws8ALcTgyo3ORB--
