Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-stable@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Ok, here is what I did: Installed via FTP FreeBSD 3.0 Release Updated sources via CVSUP Did a make world Coppied my current GENERIC kernel to MICROLINE Re-compiled that (config, make depend, make all, make install) When I got to make install, I got the warning message about ELF. I followed the procedure from the specified web page (www.freebsd.org/~peter/elfday.html) Now when I boot, the new loader loads and all looks well EXCEPT when it goes to mount the drive, I get: "MOUNT: /dev/wd0s1a on /: specified device does not match mounted device Filesystem mount failed, startup aborted" and Im dead in the water. Where did I goof? I *CAN* boot my old kernel and it DOES mount, just the new one won't.
