Everything went smoothly, except I expected that anonymous users would be able to write only to the incoming (/usr/ftp/incoming) directory and not the pub (/usr/ftp/pub) directory. The permissions on /usr/ftp/pub show "drwxrwxr-x for owner=root and group=operator. The group operator has root and staff users as members (staff is to be used as a login for internal users). So how does ftp allow anonymous access to write to pub, and how do I correct this? Thanks in advance, John Olp MIS Administrator PeerLogic, Inc.
