Hi, Here is my revised timeline to date. Jolitz's ``Porting to the i386'' series of appear in ``Dr. Dobbs'' magazine <tag/March, 1992/ William F. Jolitz releases 386BSD 0.0 <tag/July, 1992/ William F. Jolitz release 386BSD 0.1 <tag/?????, ????/ 386BSD Patch Kit releases started by Nate Williams <tag/June, 1993/ FreeBSD entered CVS using 386BSD-pk2.4 as a starting point <tag/August, 1993/ FreeBSD 1.0 released on CD-ROM <tag/March, 1994/ FreeBSD 1.1 released on CD-ROM <tag/April, 1994/ Unversity of California, Berkeley releases 4.4BSD-Lite <tag/May, 1994/ FreeBSD 1.X work ceased, 4.4BSD-Lite tree put under CVS to form the beginning of FreeBSD 2.0 <tag/May, 1994/ David Greenman and John Dyson compleate initial port of 4.4BSD-Lite <tag/November, 1994/ FreeBSD 2.0 released on CD-ROM </descrip> Note: Any where you see a ``?'', this some place I'm not sure of the date.
