you ought to be happy!
but if you're really sad to see DOS go,

1.  did you try to "sys c:" of a DOS boot floppy?
2.  did you try to re-install boot-easy?
3.  did you repartition C: from BSD?
4.  did you format C: from BSD?

if you did #4, there is no hope ...  
but it's really no great loss no matter what was on it ...
you didn't provide too many details ...
