Most probably, see http://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=591 where the patch from changelog #133 in XFree86 is posted. The files in question don't have XFree86 licence version 1.1. > 3) how can I tell when this hits the CVS tree for eith product? Some patches are included in bugzilla entries before they get into CVS (this one is in freedesktop's bugzilla #591 so if it fixes bug #1109 that should be noted there). It's also usually noted in bugzilla entry when patch gets commited to CVS. For others that have been commited you can check through web based CVS browser (like http://freedesktop.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/?root=xorg for X.Org). Probably the easiest way to see what patches have been applied to ports is through freshports (http://www.freshports.org). Dejan
