https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D230181 Bug ID: 230181 Summary: [patch] sysutils/cpupdate: Include microcode updates in packages Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: eugen@freebsd.org Reporter: romain@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(eugen@freebsd.org) Assignee: eugen@freebsd.org Created attachment 195624 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D195624&action= =3Dedit Fix to package microcodes Dear maintainer, Maybe I am missing a point, but packaging sysutils/cpupdate never include t= he CPU microcodes: a manual intervention from the port directory is needed to install them (make install-microcodes), which is not applicable when managi= ng systems through packages. The proposed patch stages the microcode updates when the corresponding opti= ons are set and adds the microcode updates to the packing list. All informatio= nal messages related to the manual steps are removed. The default package is unchanged (because CPM and INTEL are unset by defaul= t). --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
