Hey,so with
enp> uname -a
FreeBSD enp.dyndns.org 5.2-CURRENT FreeBSD 5.2-CURRENT #3: Tue Jun 1 03:19:06 G
MT 2004 psglenn@enp.dyndns.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/ENP i386
things are working much better.
I can remove my cards and reinsert them without lockups.
Cards inserted into my upper slot (cbb1) work and are detached.

The same cards in (cbb0) give
Jun 1 04:15:12 enp kernel: cbb0: card inserted: event=0x00000000, state=3000082
0
Jun 1 04:15:12 enp kernel: cbb0: cbb_power: 3V
Jun 1 04:15:12 enp kernel: cbb0: cbb_power: 0V
Jun 1 04:15:12 enp kernel: cbb0: CardBus card activation failed
