Yeah, you'll find that if you are persistent, you will eventually succeed in whatever your having trouble with, like configuring Sound Cards and what not (by the way, if you want an excellent link on how to do just that , check out http://www.freebsdzine.org/199904/features/sound.html, for Plug and Play sound cards. Check your settings through Widnows.) FreeBSD is well worth any trouble you find. It's a long learning curve, but, stick with it.
