For the record, I am currently listening to NPR (the first thing I could find) using multimedia/linux-realplayer on FreeBSD 7.0-CURRENT #1: Sat Dec 3 23:27:16 EST 2005 I have no idea who fontconfig exists, but it sounds like you need to reinstall.
