X Thanks for the info. I had already found the webpage. I followed the instructions, except removing the cpu. My current configuration is a heat-sink and fan directly on the cpu and a secondary fan from the case blowing air across the other fan, so I don't think heat or lack of cooling is the problem. My MB is rev 3.0 (purchased in March '97 w/ P133). Basically after following the instructions on the webpage, I must have one of those few CPUs that's not able to overclock. I can only get video output with the jumpers set to their original settings. Oh well..... As for the comment on ditching the EIDE drives... I suffer from that common college disease called 'thin wallet disease'. I would love to drop in a Seagate Cheetah (10,000 RPM Ultra Wide SCSI) but I don't have a spare $2000+ lying around gathering dust. I did recently upgrade from a P60 w/ the same EIDE drives. I noticed that make world took a little over half the time w/ the P133, so improving the CPU DOES make a difference. Please don't misunderstand me, I really appreciate all the help I have received since the day I first tried FBSD, I'm just trying to get a little more bang for my limited amount of 'bucks'.
