Two things I can think of offhand: For FreeBSD-specific things (such as how to handle packages), take a peek at the FreeBSD Handbook: http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/handbook.html For general help with Unix commands, try the command "apropos". For instance, to find commands which have something to do with passwords, issue the command "apropos password".
