Quoting Ion-Mihai Tetcu <itetcu@FreeBSD.org> (from Tue, 26 May 2009 23:20:35 +0300): Do you have a log of a previous version? I would be interested if there is the same output or if this was a regression in this commit. From what I see every file is a config file which you don't want to have removed when updating. The users stay to not get problems in case other services are using the same IDs (e.g. MailScanner). Bye, Alexander. P.S.: List included below for ease of comparing later. > === Checking filesystem state after all packages deleted > ================================================================ > list of extra files and directories in / (not present on clean > system but present after everything was deinstalled) > 44776138 4 drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel > 512 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix > 44733503 40 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel > 18924 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix/access > 44733504 20 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel > 8829 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix/aliases > 44733506 24 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel > 11721 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix/canonical > 44733507 20 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel > 9979 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix/generic > 44733508 36 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel > 18367 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix/header_checks > 44776131 52 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel > 26027 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix/main.cf > 44733512 12 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel > 5093 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix/master.cf > 44733513 16 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel > 6836 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix/relocated > 44733514 28 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel > 12540 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix/transport > 44733515 28 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel > 12559 May 26 13:24 usr/local/etc/postfix/virtual > /etc/group /etc/group-save differ: char 149, line 9 > === /etc/group was modified: > --- /etc/group-save 2009-05-26 13:23:07.000000000 +0000 > +++ /etc/group 2009-05-26 13:24:44.000000000 +0000 > @@ -6,7 +6,7 @@ > sys:*:3: > tty:*:4: > operator:*:5:root > -mail:*:6: > +mail:*:6:postfix > bin:*:7: > news:*:8: > man:*:9: > @@ -29,3 +29,5 @@ > www:*:80: > nogroup:*:65533: > nobody:*:65534: > +postfix:*:125: > +maildrop:*:126: > cmp: EOF on /etc/master.passwd-save > === /etc/master.passwd was modified: > --- /etc/master.passwd-save 2009-05-26 13:23:07.000000000 +0000 > +++ /etc/master.passwd 2009-05-26 13:24:44.000000000 +0000 > @@ -21,3 +21,4 @@ > pop:*:68:6::0:0:Post Office Owner:/nonexistent:/usr/sbin/nologin > www:*:80:80::0:0:World Wide Web Owner:/nonexistent:/usr/sbin/nologin > nobody:*:65534:65534::0:0:Unprivileged user:/nonexistent:/usr/sbin/nologin > +postfix:*:125:125::0:0:Postfix Mail > System:/var/spool/postfix:/usr/sbin/nologin > ================================================================ > build of /usr/ports/mail/postfix ended at Tue May 26 13:24:55 UTC 2009 > -- > IOnut - Un^d^dregistered ;) FreeBSD "user" > "Intellectual Property" is nowhere near as valuable as "Intellect" > FreeBSD committer -> itetcu@FreeBSD.org, PGP Key ID 057E9F8B493A297B > -- http://www.Leidinger.net Alexander @ Leidinger.net: PGP ID = B0063FE7 http://www.FreeBSD.org netchild @ FreeBSD.org : PGP ID = 72077137 People who fight fire with fire usually end up with ashes. -- Abigail Van Buren
