I realize these error's might not be in th right mailinglist?, anyway-regarding FreeBSD 7.0-RC3: The 3-disk FreeBSD 7.0-RC3 download installed great desktop-wise; this is a big stable improvement-couple things below, opera and openoffice install via ports has some quirky errors? OpenOffice install:initially I installed the recommended JDK files as per OpenOffice 2.3.1 port via /usr/ports/java/jdk16into /usr/ports/distfilesbsd-jdk16-patches-3.tar.bz2jdk-6u3-fcs-bin-b05-jrl-24_sep_2007.jarjdk-6u3-fcs-mozilla_headers-b05-unix-24_sep_2007.jarjdk-6u3-fcs-src-b05-jrl-24_sep_2007.jartzupdater-1_3_0-2007h.zip then I portinstall -rRp jave/jdk16-installed ok.portinstall -rRp editors/openoffice.org-2-installed ok. $ openoffice.org-2.3.1 javaldx: Could not find a Java Runtime Environment!I18N: Operating system doesn't support locale "en_US" ######################################################## Opera install:#after installing opera and the linux-plugin for it I now get$opera --versionOpera 9.25 . Build 687 for FreeBSD. Qt library 3.3.5.$operaOpera encountered a problem during plug-in setup.Plug-ins will not work properly.Check your installation. Could not start plug-in executable 'operapluginwrapper' Searched directory: /usr/local/share/opera/bin/ ?------------------------------------------------------------ so, anyone know what the fix is or what these errors are ?yes, I can supply any other specific detailed log errors if you like, I just thought heres a heads up.thanx. _________________________________________________________________
