My dump command is as follows: dump 0uafb host:/dev/nrst0 64 / I am dumping between 2 low-use BSD boxes, both running 2.2.1-RELEASE code. The machines are connected by a 100baseT full duplex ethernet switch. A dump of my 15Meg root filesystem takes 1 hour!!! (a far cry from the 30-45 seconds it takes for a local dump) Is there a solution to this problem other than some commercial backup package? Any help would be appreciated.
