Just installed FreeBSD 4.3 from the CD that came with Ms. Anderson's = book, and so far so good, doing a dual boot on a referbed IBM NetVista = that I picked up. Been doing some reading, getting a few things set up, = still not online with it yet, but that's coming, you will be the first = to know when I get it going. Have to figure out how to get ppp up, and = configure sendmail. Have installed pine and mutt, and done some set up = on them already. Have not been able to get X up yet, but have a feeling that I need to = redo the kernel before I can do that, this system has the Intel i810 = onboard video. Will also need to find IceWM somewhere, as that is my = preferred window manager. Well that's about where I am, and will keep posting as things progress. = Any tips or pointers as to what steps I should take would be = appreciated.
