Orinoco (Lucent) cards have been supported for a long time and the driver for these cards also support a great many other brands of cards that are based on the same chips. Scan though /etc/defaults/pccard.conf for "wi". You will find a VERY long list. They include 3Com, Cabletron, Compaq, Intel, and many, many others. R.
