Same thing happened to me yesterday. Check the GNOME-on-FreeBSD FAQ at
http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/ (under 'known issues' I believe). You'll
need to remove one of the files in
/usr/ports/multimedia/gstreamer-plugins/files then make clean and make
install clean that port first before returning to building gnome2 from
the metaport. This worked well for me, though there may be a even
simpler solution...
