What am i > missing here in getting FAM to work? You have missed a step, you need to enable the inetd and add a line in /etc/inetd.conf following: sgi_fam/1-2 stream rpc/tcp wait root /usr/local/bin/fam fam You should be able to find the info in the devel/fam/pkg-message. I use daemontools instead inetd. Cheers, Mezz > Thanks in advance! > > Octavian > > p.s.
