RAM, kernel has SMP and apic enabled, based on GENERIC config, PREEMPTION on or off >Description: When switching at boot time at the loader menu Single User Mode for doing install world purposes, the system freezes after a while. I can type Ctrl-T an get some infos about the currently working process and all of them (in each freeze scenario) they seem to be stuck in (biord). This happens on PREEMPTION enabled AND disabled kernels. When booting in multiuser mode everythings works well. Booting a kernel from the loader prompt boot: /loader/loader /boot/kernel/kernel or in case of emergency boot: /loader/loader /boot/kernel.old/kernel left the system frozen, no console output, no network action although the booting kernel operates normal when booting the 'normal' way.
