Actually, it is here, on a UP system, if this is the message you mean: Jul 18 14:21:18 hamlet /kernel: psmintr: out of sync (00c0 != 0000). The symptoms are as you describe. The mouse in question is a ``Cordless MouseMan Pro''. The problems are /much/ worse with a Microsoft Optical Intellimouse -- so bad as to be unusable. See also PR misc/16969. This is a new system, and the first time I've noticed the problem.
