According to Michael Beckmann: > large. I tried linking my inn with -lgnumalloc , but it was a desaster. > Ever seen a sysload of 20 on a FreeBSD box ? I couldn't believe my eyes. Only 20 ? A 2.1.5 with more than 170 sendmail will be at 40... (seen on one of my machines receiving mail report from 5 SPAM cancelbots during an heavy binaries storm in several groups including control itself) :-) The machine was unusable with only 16 MB RAM and 128 MB swap (almost full). While I'm at this, is there a known problem with either pppd or the vn swap files in 2.1.5 ? We've stopped using both for a while and the machine hasn't crahsed yet... -- Ollivier ROBERT -=- The daemon is FREE! -=- roberto@keltia.freenix.fr FreeBSD keltia.freenix.fr 3.0-CURRENT #33: Sat Dec 21 12:57:17 CET 1996
