Yes, but a graceful shutdown means that some log entries may take a long time to be written. So you also have to wait quite a while after you send your signal. Basically, it seems that the most reliable way to handle Apache log rotation under FreeBSD is to use the rotatelogs program supplied with Apache. Ciao, Sheldon.
