Well, I glad I'm not alone in this view. The documentation sucks, very badly. It would be nice to see a couple of HOWTO's and such. The biggest reason why I avoided Cyrus-<anything> in the past was partly due to the complexity, and uncertainty generated by trying to make sense of it. I agree the SASL and 1.6 stuff is quirky. It probably needs a bit of time before it will become sane enough for production use. Everyone I've exchanged mail with has advised me to stick with the latest 1.5.x revision.
