I think it's a very good idea.

If I can suggest something I recomend also a keyword (not mandatory) for
distfiles size (which I put in the DESCR for the few ports I made). 
I'd like to know before how much I am going to download before begin to
"make install".
Especially when I am calling my ISP from my house and with an humble 33.6
modem :-)
