I used BellSouth personally, and I can't speak for other DSL providers, but pray they don't send you a USB speedtouch - the support that exists for it is pretty touch-and-go, and although I have heard of people getting it to work on their FreeBSD box, I haven't been so lucky.. :( I still use Win98SE for my connection - the 10BaseT model is good if you can get it, but BS likes to charge upwards of $200 for a "home installation", and won't let you do it yourself. I recommend that if you're handy with telco wiring inside the house, buy the Alcatel A1000 external 10BaseT model from Ebay, and wire your home ports yourself. I, myself, am too lazy, but that seems to be the best bet.
