Something does not appear sane with your ACPI config using your custom kernel: acpi: bad write to port 0x080 (32), val 0xaa This next bit may not be much help in terms of solving your immediate problem, but it will save you a boatload of hassles and time across upgrades: Use "include GENERIC" and remove what you don't want using nocpu/ nooptions/nodevice (I offer my config as an example: http:// bling.properkernel.com/freebsd/BLING ). Every time you sync up with GENERIC, just update the "in sync with" version.
