Sorry, I am trying to find the cure for this problem but my time is
very limited, unfortunately.

If you are willing to try once more, please update the ports tree and
try "make WITH_GCC=yes".

I am afraid there is very little chance to revive older version(s)
unless someone volunteer to maintain it.  Chasing one version is
already too hard and time-consuming for me. :-(
