During growfs development we tested growfs against almost all various ffs parameterizations possible (even the today not that much usefull rotational block layout tables). In those permanent test loops (for meanwhile 4 months) there we never encountered any problem. I agree, that this test of cause doesn't need to find all possible problems, especially as in our test there is never more than one thread accessing the filesystem when it is mounted.
