FreeBSD 2.2.6-RELEASE #0: Tue Aug 4 23:14:11 PDT 1998 ludwigp@fortress.chipweb.ml.org:/usr/src/sys/compile/FORTRESS CPU: Cyrix MediaGX (486-class CPU) Origin = "CyrixInstead" DIR=0x2241 Stepping=2 Revision=2 I get the calcru negative time messages all the time. I tried rebuilding the kernel with different clock calibration lines, but nothing helped. It always starts a day or two after a reboot. I don't care because this system only does DNS and RC5DES. A sample of my /var/log/messages: Oct 27 03:35:01 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -3343 usec Oct 27 21:09:53 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -6166 usec Oct 28 04:11:11 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4697 usec Oct 30 13:56:50 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4237 usec Oct 31 03:30:47 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -196 usec Oct 31 07:30:05 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4577 usec Nov 1 21:02:00 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4601 usec Nov 2 03:08:08 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -6464 usec Nov 5 18:24:14 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -6383 usec Nov 6 13:10:00 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4564 usec Nov 6 16:48:23 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4581 usec Nov 8 13:26:38 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4574 usec Nov 9 00:53:45 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4600 usec Nov 9 21:32:33 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -6471 usec Nov 11 12:49:47 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -6483 usec Nov 12 08:58:28 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4292 usec Nov 13 01:21:31 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -6396 usec Nov 13 06:52:32 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4535 usec Nov 14 21:49:44 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -7351 usec Nov 15 06:36:23 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -6382 usec Nov 15 21:09:03 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -4648 usec Nov 15 22:00:00 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -5559 usec Nov 16 10:06:26 fortress /kernel: calcru: negative time: -7241 usec At 12:14 PM 11/16/98 -0800, you wrote: >This probably belongs on -questions since it's not related to -current .. > >On Mon, 16 Nov 1998, Kevin Day wrote: > >> FreeBSD 2.2.7-RELEASE #0: Wed Oct 21 16:22:35 CDT 1998 >> devel@kevin1.touchmaster:/usr/src/sys/compile/DEVEL >> CPU: Cyrix GXm (0.00-MHz 586-class CPU) >> Origin = "CyrixInstead" Id = 0x540 DIR=0x3346 Stepping=3 Revision=3 >> real memory = 63963136 (62464K bytes) >> avail memory = 60252160 (58840K bytes) > >> calcru: negative time: -6644 usec >> pid 8197 (dl), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped) > >> calcru: negative time: -6644 usec >> pid 8211 (dl), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped) >> calcru: negative time: -6644 usec >> pid 8211 (dl), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped) >> calcru: negative time: -6644 usec >> pid 8211 (dl), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped) --Ludwig Pummer ( ludwigp@bigfoot.com ) ICQ UIN: 692441 ( ludwigp@email.com ) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
