If you have "path" (lower case) variable defined, and try to compile graphics/liblqr-1, you get this error:

/usr/local/kde4/bin: file not recognized: File format not recognized

Unsetting (unsetenv path) solves. This means some problem with preexisting environment variables.

Note: I had this problem with other ports, but it was solved.
