If it is not already installed that can be a problem (which I had). XF86Setup requires either.. um.. tk or qt, I can't remember which. You'll have to look at the makefile. But basically if it's not installed XF86Setup isn't built. The build does actually print a message to that effect when it's configuring. Unfortunately I'm not infront of my machine so I can't give you exact details right now. BUT... What you can do is build and install XFree86, then install QT or TK whichever it is, and then either rebuild all of XFree or you could just rebuild XFree86. Extract the port, cd to the proper dir (under work), and then make all install. I don't remember the details off the top of my head. I can look them up when I get home from work tonight. Otherwise, maybe I've given you enough information to piece the rest together yourself. -Chris > -----Original Message----- > From: Karel Joop Bosschaart [SMTP:karelj@wop21.wop.wtb.tue.nl] > Sent: Monday, November 15, 1999 8:02 AM > To: Francisco Reyes; freebsd-questions@freebsd.org > Subject: Re: Where is XF86Setup when installing Xfree from ports? > > > On Mon, Nov 15, 1999 at 06:58:49AM -0500, Francisco Reyes wrote: > > I was unable to install XFree using sysinstall (alreay post message to > this regard on the stable lsit) so > > I installed it from ports. > > > > I can't find XF86Setup in the bin directory.
