Hi all, i have some installation problem on FreeBSD... i have two hard drives and 1 cdrom the first hard drive is on primary master the second hard drive is on secondary master and the cdrom is on primary slave... nothing is on secondary slave.... first i installed win98 on the first hard drive and then install FreeBSD on the second hard drive i want to setup a boot manager but i don't know where it is written to? is it written to the MBR in the first hard drive? or is there a MBR in the second hard drive that the boot manager will be written to? after following all the instructions for the installation, it gives me this error: changing root device to wd1s1a changing root device to wd1a error 6: panic: cannot mount root (2) i set the BSD partitions for /, /var, /usr, and swap already, but don't know why. my first hard drive is wd0 on wdc0 (IDE controller) mt second hard drive is wd2 on wdc1 do you have any clues or suggestions? thanks a lot.
