Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Hi, there.. I am using FreeBSD 2.1.0 RELEASE. My problem is on "ping". When I log as root, I can use "ping". But, as a plain user, I can not "ping" anywhere. "ping" complains like followings. ping: socket: Permission denied Other network commands run well. "ping" is owned by 'bin' user and 'bin' group. I can not understand why permission causes this problem. Now, what shall I do? Thanks in advance..
