Hit <scroll lock> at the main menu and see what's reported for the wdc/wd probes. wd0 should be the system hard drive. > Is this NEC a no-win? The IDE controller is listed as > OPTI Dual PCI. Sounds like the OPTI has a different idea of IDE compatibility than the rest of the world.
