Interesting that while per-char and sequential block output had slight improvement, input gets marginally worse for flagged disk! I'd say that on this evidence, the 32-bit and multi-sector transfers are of marginal benefit. The above doesn't really show clear wins. Does it? Asus MB 512k with P100, 32Mb non-EDO ram. -George
